Milton Wins National Budget Presentation Award

The Town of Milton earned the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association, the highest recognition in governmental budgeting.

The award recognizes Milton's budget as meeting national guidelines in four areas: policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device.

"This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Town's Budget Committee," said Scott Ostrander, Town Supervisor.

Dave Braymer, Town Comptroller, said the achievement reflects the town's commitment to transparent budgeting practices. "I am thrilled for the Town Board and the Budget Committee," Braymer said.

The association evaluates how effectively municipalities present budgets to demonstrate transparency and accountability in financial planning. Milton ranks among municipalities nationwide that have met the association's criteria for budget presentation excellence.
