The advisory is in effect until 8:00 AM PDT today, October 12th. Southwest winds are expected to reach 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph.
These strong winds may make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The NWS advises extra caution on highways, including US Highway 395, and State Routes 14, 58, and 178. Unsecured objects may be blown around, and there is a possibility of tree limbs being blown down and isolated power outages.
