Don Soffer Aventura High School Continues Academic Excellence with AP & AICE, Maintaining 'A' Rating

Don Soffer Aventura High School (DSAHS) continues to serve as a cornerstone of education in Aventura, offering a robust academic environment for students in grades 9-12. Established in 2019, the tuition-free municipal charter school, operated by Charter Schools USA, emphasizes quality education, ethical conduct, and social responsibility.

DSAHS has consistently achieved high standards, meeting the "A" criteria from the Florida Department of Education every year since 2022, its first year of eligibility. The school's curriculum features 27 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and 25 Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) courses. This extensive offering encourages students to pursue challenging coursework and earn college-level credits.

Students at DSAHS average four college-level credits per year, with many aiming to achieve both AICE and AP diplomas before graduation. The school operates on a semester academic calendar, with school days structured into seven fifty-minute periods. All students enrolled in AP and AICE courses must take the corresponding course exam at the end of the year.
