Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Names Albert A. Piloto, MD, MBA, FACP, CPE, as Chief Medical Officer ST. PETERSBURG, FL (May 9, 2024) – Bayfront Health St. Petersburg has appointed Albert A. Piloto, MD, MBA, FACP, CPE, as its new Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this role, Dr. Piloto will oversee the hospital’s medical staff and clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and safe patient care. “We are delighted to welcome Dr. Piloto to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg,” said John Moore, President of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. “His extensive experience and dedication to patient safety and quality improvement make him an ideal leader for our medical staff.” Dr. Piloto brings a wealth of experience to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. Prior to joining Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, he served as a healthcare consultant and held various leadership positions, including CMO at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital and HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. He is board-certified in internal medicine and a Certified Physician Executive (CPE). Dr. Piloto earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and his Master of Business Administration from Florida International University. He completed his internal medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
