City of Auburn 2026 Fall Cleaning Event
The City of Auburn will hold its 2026 Fall Cleaning Event for City of Auburn residents only on two Saturdays this fall. The event provides residents with an opportunity to dispose of a variety of household materials at the City Transfer Station. Rules will be strictly enforced.
Dates: Saturday, September 26, 2026, and Saturday, October 3, 2026
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Residents must bring materials directly to the Transfer Station. No landfill permit is required, but participants must provide both a driver's license and vehicle registration as proof of City of Auburn residency. The address on both documents must match. No trailers, box vans or U-Hauls will be permitted. All garbage must be placed in a container or bag. These requirements will be strictly enforced.
Materials accepted at no cost include garbage, recycling, mattresses and box springs, yard waste and brush, furniture, electronics, computer parts, microwaves, DVD and VCR equipment, printers, televisions, cell phones, mobile devices and fluorescent lamps. Yard waste and brush must be emptied from plastic bags. Residents may also dispose of up to four car tires, with or without rims, per residence per day.
Freon-containing appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers, will be accepted for a fee of $45 per unit.
The following materials will NOT be accepted: hazardous waste, asbestos, motor oil, liquid waste, grease, solvents, paint and cooking oil.
