Samuel David Fuller, 38, Former Marine, Dies in Atlantic Beach

Samuel David Fuller, 38, a Jacksonville native and former Marine, died Sunday, August 30, 2026, at his Jacksonville residence. Known to many as "Sam," Fuller was a dedicated family man and worked in the local logistics industry.

Born June 16, 1988, in Crowborough, England, Fuller moved to Jacksonville as a child with his parents, Eric and Carol Beckford Fuller. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Fuller completed a four-year tour of duty, including a deployment to Afghanistan, and received an honorable discharge.

Following his military service, Fuller built a career in logistics as a warehouse manager. His colleagues recognized his strong leadership skills, which he attributed to his military background.

An avid athlete, Fuller played soccer and football in his youth. Boxing became his passion; he earned several awards and coached the sport for one season. Above all, he cherished time spent with his daughter, Sophie.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eric Fuller, and maternal grandparents, Molly and Leonard Beckford.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Fuller of Jacksonville; his parents, Eric (Brenda VanSandt-Fuller) Fuller of Mandarin and Carol (Keith Garrett) Fuller of Jacksonville; his daughter, Sophie Fuller of Jacksonville; his sister, Christy (Philip) Ayles of Mandarin; and his paternal grandmother, Irene Fuller of Mandarin, along with numerous extended family members and friends.

A private celebration of life was held at Ferreira Funeral Services Beaches Memorial Park Chapel. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services handled arrangements at Beaches Memorial Park, 1500 Main Street, Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233.
