School Advisory Council (SAC)
The School Advisory Council is a team of people representing various segments of the community--parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, business/community members, and students--who are responsible for collaboratively developing and evaluating the School Improvement Plan (SIP). Florida Statute 1001.452 states each school's principal shall establish and maintain a school advisory council.
Functions of the SAC
Review relevant data to make recommendations for subsequent school improvement
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of the school improvement plan
Assist the principal with the school budget
