Ohio University Alumna Wins Emmy for Sound Design
Anna Adams, a 2015 graduate of Ohio University's Scripps College of Communication, won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Design and Mixing – Live Action for her work on the Amazon Freevee series "Jury Duty."
Adams earned her bachelor's degree in communication–media arts production and served as a sound designer on the documentary-style comedy, which follows an American jury trial through the eyes of Ronald Gladden, a juror unaware that everyone else is an actor. She created and edited the show's sound effects.
"My time at Ohio University allowed me to explore audio engineering, sound design, and video production," Adams said. "I'm grateful for the guidance from the Scripps College of Communication faculty and staff."
Scott Titsworth, dean of the Scripps College of Communication, said the university is proud of Adams' achievement. Adams currently works as a sound designer on an upcoming television series.
