David Descutner Named MDIA Program Director

David Descutner, an associate professor of instruction in the School of Media Arts and Studies, will lead the MDIA program as its new director.

Descutner earned an MFA in film from Ohio University in 2008. He teaches video production, sound design, and interactive media courses and has screened his film, television, and interactive media work at festivals worldwide.

As director, Descutner will develop curriculum, recruit faculty, advise students, and establish industry partnerships to create internship and job opportunities. The MDIA program trains students for media production and digital storytelling careers through hands-on coursework and professional connections.
