Robert “Bob” Farrington, 65, of Neshannock Township, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of May 23, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.Born in New Castle on February 27, 1961, Bob was the beloved son of the late Richard and Sally Stivans Farrington.On July 31, 1982, Bob married the love of his life, the former Jan Spangler. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with 45 years of unwavering love, laughter, devotion, and cherished memories. Jan survives at home, carrying with her a lifetime of love shared with her best friend.Bob was a proud 1980 graduate of Neshannock High School. He dedicated many years of hard work to the Neshannock Township Road Department before continuing his career with GEM Building Contractors & Developers, Inc. Bob was a man who truly appreciated the simple joys in life. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, being at the water’s edge and the woods is where he felt closest to God. He also built treasured friendships through the Mahoning County Sportsman’s Club, the Eintracht Society, The Gripers Club, and Local Union 964.Above all else, Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and loyal friend. His grandchildren brought endless happiness to his life, and nothing meant more to him than spending time with those he loved most. Bob will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his kind and generous heart, his easygoing nature, and the way he could always make those around him feel welcomed and cared for. He was the kind of man you could count on without hesitation — steady, hardworking, and deeply devoted to the people he loved.In addition to his wife Jan, Bob leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Lindsey and Eric Day; his beloved grandchildren, Mason and Emma Day; his brother, Richard Farrington (Mary); his sisters, Linda Pachis (Cy Deley), Bridget Davis, and Brenda Farrington-Matas; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Jed Davis.Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Bob and celebrate his life during a casual Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 30, at noon at the Crane Room Loft, 3009 Wilmington Rd., Neshannock Twp PA 16105Arrangements have been entrusted to Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Rd.
