Sanchez, a loving, adventurous, and courageous man, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 76.Born on May 5, 1949, in Lamesa, Texas, he carried the values of hard work, loyalty, and devotion throughout his life. He was a proud veteran whose service to his country reflected the strength of character that those who knew him came to admire. Alfred served in the Army for 674 days and earned recognition as a sharpshooter, a distinction that spoke to both his discipline and his steady focus. He carried his military service with quiet pride, and his time in uniform remained an important part of his story.Alfred built his life around the people he loved most. Family was the center of his world, and the time he shared with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought him deep joy. He is survived by his sons, Alfred Sanchez Jr. and John Anthony Sanchez. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Sanchez and Gilbert Sanchez Sr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Emma Reyes, and his brothers, Adolfo Sanchez, Candelario Sanchez, Albert, Luis, Arthur, Richard, and Ennis Jr. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his memory and the love he gave so freely.Those who knew Alfred will remember a man who enjoyed life in simple but meaningful ways.
