Apopka Special Events Permit Requirements Guide
Apopka residents planning outdoor events must secure a Special Events Permit from the city if their gathering exceeds 100 attendees on city property or includes vending, alcohol, temporary structures, or street closures.
Events on public or private property that affect adjacent streets, sidewalks, rights-of-way, or displace parking also require permits. These include amphitheater rentals, amplified sound events, parades, organized runs or walks, street festivals, and vendor markets. The city may require permits for other events deemed high-risk.
Applicants must submit permit applications at least 60 days before the event date through an online system. The city's departments review requests and contact applicants through OpenGov if additional information is needed. Applicants pay a final fee upon approval before receiving the permit.
