Gaza Health Ministry Reports Deaths Among Patients Awaiting Treatment Transfers
Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry announced that an estimated 300 Palestinian patients, initially referred for medical treatment outside the Gaza Strip, have died since the ceasefire went into effect. Officials from the ministry provided this figure.
The health ministry stated these individuals had secured referrals for treatment in various locations abroad. However, they did not receive the necessary transfers before their deaths. The timeframe for these deaths spans from the beginning of the ceasefire to the present.
Representatives from the health ministry have not detailed specific causes for the delays or provided further demographic information about the deceased patients. They specified that the count began following the cessation of hostilities.
