Apopka Spring Fest: Art & Music Delight Residents

Apopka residents experienced a vibrant spring in 2025 with the 63rd Annual Apopka Art & Foliage Festival and the free Saturday Sounds Concert Series. Both events offered family-friendly entertainment and community engagement.

The 63rd Annual Apopka Art & Foliage Festival, a collaboration between The Apopka Woman’s Club and the City of Apopka, took place April 26-27, 2025, at Kit Land Nelson Park. The free event showcased arts and crafts, locally grown foliage, and live music. Organizers reported that 100 percent of the festival's proceeds benefited the community through donations and scholarships.

The Apopka Amphitheater hosted the free Saturday Sounds Concert Series throughout spring 2025. Sponsored by Mattamy Homes, the series featured BeatleBeat on April 5, Are Friends Electric on April 19, and HAPCO International Jazz Day on April 26. The season concluded with Journey Tribute: Never Stop Believin’ on May 3 and NFusion on May 17. Attendees brought their own food and beverages or purchased items from local food trucks at select concerts.

Other community events in April 2025 included the Apopka Health & Fitness Fest on April 5 at Kit Land Nelson Park, featuring free health screenings, cooking and exercise demonstrations, and prize drawings. Camp Wewa hosted its annual Breakfast with the Bunny on April 19, which required tickets for a buffet breakfast, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt.
