Apopka Proclaims Florida Redevelopment Week, Recognizing CRA Impact on Local Growth

Apopka officially recognized Florida Redevelopment Week from September 14 to 18, highlighting the crucial role of Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRAs) in local economic development and neighborhood revitalization. Mayor Nicholas L. Nesta, III issued a proclamation during the Apopka City Commission Meeting on September 16, 2026, acknowledging these efforts.

This recognition matters to Apopka residents because redevelopment initiatives directly impact local property values, support small businesses, and improve public spaces. CRAs work to address areas of blight, strengthen local economies, and expand housing opportunities, fostering vibrant and resilient communities within the city.
