Apopka City Council & Planning Commission Met Early 2026

Apopka residents participated in local government meetings and community events in early 2026, as detailed in the City of Apopka's 2026 Edition One newsletter. The Apopka City Council met on Feb. 4 and Feb. 18, 2026. The Planning Commission convened on Feb. 10, 2026.

The newsletter also highlighted community gatherings. The "Saturday Sounds" free concert series at the Apopka Amphitheater featured "After 5" on Feb. 7, 2026, and "Springsteen - The Bruce Tribute" on Feb. 21, 2026. Attendees brought blankets and chairs to enjoy music ranging from R&B and soul to classic rock tributes.

The Apopka Police Department promoted its "9 PM Routine" to reduce preventable crimes. The initiative encourages residents to set an alarm to lock vehicles, remove valuables, check mailboxes and packages, secure home valuables, and lock all doors, including garages.

The Apopka Fire Department stressed the importance of properly installed and maintained smoke alarms to prevent fire-related deaths and injuries.
