Principal Kenya Nelson-Warren of Evans High School has communicated the school's commitment to becoming a "Place of High Achievement." As Florida’s first certified Community Partnership School, Evans High, known as “The Pride of Pine Hills,” builds its educational philosophy on literacy, rigor, and relationships. These pillars align with the school’s founding principles of pride, determination, and perseverance.

Evans High offers several academic pathways to prepare students for future success. These include the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, with Pre-IB coursework for ninth and tenth graders and the IB Diploma Program for eleventh and twelfth graders. Students also can pursue Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) coursework, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Career Technical Education (CTE) through Orange Technical College, and Dual Enrollment with Valencia College. The school also offers pathways for students to earn industry certifications.
Students can participate in school life through athletics, clubs, Navy JROTC, performing arts, and leadership opportunities. These experiences shape character and are valued by colleges. The Evans Community School supports student well-being through partnerships with UCF, the Children’s Home Society, JP Morgan Chase, Orange Blossom Health, and OCPS.
