Farmington Utility Seeks Operations Supervisor - NM Jobs

A Farmington, New Mexico, utility seeks an Operations Supervisor to manage teams responsible for the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas. The application deadline for this position is Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026.

The role offers an annual salary of $96,000 to $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates must live within a 30-minute commute of the Farmington office to ensure operational responsiveness.

The supervisor will oversee multiple functional groups involved in construction, maintenance, service installations, operations, meter repairs, and related field and warehouse activities. Duties include creating work assignments, directing tasks, scheduling personnel, and ensuring adequate training. The supervisor will also set goals, manage budgets, and ensure cost management and loss control within their area.

Applicants need a Bachelor's degree or four years of related experience, a valid driver’s license with an acceptable record, and at least three years of direct experience in natural gas utility operations, maintenance/construction, plumbing, or engineering. One year of supervisory or lead experience is preferred.

Working conditions include an office environment with frequent site visits. Fieldwork may require standing, walking, stooping, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The position may also require 24-hour on-call availability.
