Schedule a Pickup | USPS In just four easy steps, you can schedule a package pickup. For faster, easier scheduling, create or sign in to a USPS.com account. Step 1: Where should we pick up your package(s)? Tell us your pickup location and we'll verify the address is eligible for pickups. To make changes to the information below, you will need to cancel this pickup and start over. Required fields include: First Name, Last Name, Company Name, Street Address, City, State, ZIP Code, Phone, and Email. Optional fields include: Middle Initial, Apt/Suite/Other, Urbanization Code (for Puerto Rico), and option to save address to Address Book. Step 2: Where will you leave your package(s)? Place your packages in a secure location that is accessible by your carrier. Users must select a location from available options and may enter additional instructions (up to 255 characters, excluding special characters). Step 3: When should we schedule your pickup? Choose between: - Free pickup during regular mail delivery ($0.00) - Note that only certain packages will be eligible - Pickup at a specific time via Pickup On Demand premium paid service Pickup times will be within two hours of your time slot selection. Users can schedule pickups Monday-Saturday. A Recurring Pickup Tool is available for users who create or sign in to a USPS.com account, allowing pickups over multiple days or at regular intervals (daily, weekly, or monthly). Recurring pickups are not available on Sundays or holidays. Step 4: How many packages are we picking up? Users must indicate quantity for each package type: - Priority Mail Express - Priority Mail - USPS Ground Advantage - Returns - International - Other (requires at least one premium package for free pickup) Users must provide estimated total weight in pounds. Only premium packages with a "✝" symbol are eligible for free pickup. For "Other" packages, at least one premium service package must be selected to qualify for free pickup, or user must select Pickup On Demand paid service. Package Requirements: - Cannot exceed 70 lbs or 130" - Mailpieces weighing more than 10 oz bearing only stamps as postage are not eligible for pickup - Packages must have sufficient postage to cover shipping and extra services Hazardous Materials Declaration: Users must declare whether packages contain hazardous materials. Hazardous materials include lithium batteries, perfume, mercury, aerosol cans, explosives, or other items having a clear potential for causing harm to mail, persons, or property. Violations of hazmat mailing laws (39 USC § 3018 and 18 USC § 1716) may result in: - Civil penalty per violation (refer to 39 CFR 233.12 for values) - Cost of cleanup associated with each violation - Damages - Criminal penalties Terms & Conditions: Users must agree to terms including: "Be sure to place your package(s) in a secure location for pickup. The United States Postal Service bears no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged packages. The USPS is also not responsible for service delays when the package has incorrect postage, incomplete postage information, or is otherwise not ready for shipment." Modifying Existing Pickups: Users can edit or cancel scheduled pickups by entering their confirmation number and email address or phone number. Address Eligibility: If an address is not eligible for pickup, users will need to take their shipment to a Post Office, drop it in a blue collection box (if under 10 oz), or visit a Contract Postal Unit or Approved Postal Provider location. Dog Safety Notification: Users are asked if there is a dog at the address so delivery personnel can take appropriate safety precautions. "Please be assured that we protect your privacy and will not share this information." Privacy Act Statement: "Your information will be used to provide Package Pickup service at the address and for the date that you request. Collection is authorized by 39 USC 401, 403, 404. Providing the information is voluntary, but if not provided, we may not process your request. We do not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except to facilitate the transaction, to act on your behalf or request, or as legally required. This includes the following limited circumstances: to a congressional office on your behalf; to financial entities regarding financial transaction issues; to a U.S. Postal Service auditor; to entities, including law enforcement, as required by law or in legal proceedings; and to contractors and other entities aiding us to fulfill the service (service providers)." Package Type Descriptions: - Priority Mail Express: Fastest option with 1-3 day delivery to most locations 365 days a year and a money-back guarantee. USPS Tracking included. Eligible for free pickup and Pickup On Demand service for an added fee. - Priority Mail: Fast delivery time. Ships to most U.S. destinations in 2-3 business days. USPS Tracking included. Eligible for free pickup and Pickup On Demand service for an added fee. - USPS Ground Advantage: Affordable and reliable ground shipping for packages up to 70 lbs with USPS Tracking included. Ships to most U.S. destinations in 2-5 business days. Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, and offshore locations may vary. Eligible for free pickup and Pickup On Demand service for an added fee. - Returns: USPS Returns, Parcel Return Service, and Business Reply Mail packages with a preprinted, prepaid label that a merchant included in your original shipment or that you printed online. Eligible for free pickup and Pickup On Demand service for an added fee. - International: Packages headed overseas, including Priority Mail Express International, Priority Mail International, and First-Class Package International Service shipments. Eligible for free pickup and Pickup On Demand service for an added fee. - Other: Includes Parcel Select Lightweight, Library Mail, Media Mail, and Bound Printed Matter packages.
