Mission and Vision – MDCPS Mental Health Services Our Mission is to promote students' social-emotional and academic well-being through the provision of the highest quality, comprehensive, and evidence-based mental health services at school and in our community. Our Vision is to provide mental health and wellness-focused services that promote our students' social-emotional development, prevent the development of mental health challenges, and address social-emotional problems that currently exist. Miami-Dade County Public Schools' Department of Mental Health Services was established in July 2018 to enhance the coordination of District and community resources to deliver evidence-based mental health care for students.
