City Clerk Responsibilities The City Clerk's Department is responsible for keeping all city records organized, accurate, and secure. This includes archiving official documents, publishing notices for public meetings and hearings, and preparing meeting minutes for the City Commission and other appointed boards and committees. Appointment The City Clerk is one of three positions appointed by the City Commission. The other two are the City Manager and the City Attorney. Darlene Galambos serves as the City Clerk and the city's Official Public Records Custodian. The department also works with the St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections to coordinate City Commission elections. Location The City Clerk's Office is on the second floor of City Hall, also known as the Lightner Museum building. When visiting the office, use Elevator B, located in the southeast corner of the City Hall courtyard.
