CodeRVA College Fair & Campus Safety in Richmond
CodeRVA will host its sixth annual College and Career Fair on Wednesday, April 29. Students will meet representatives from colleges, universities, businesses, and military branches to explore post-high school options.
School officials urged families and students to drive safely near campus after receiving complaints from Michael and Son, the building's landlord, about excessive speeding and vehicles driving on the wrong side of the road. Michael and Son employees have contacted police about traffic infractions and may do so again.
The CodeRVA PTSA is recruiting board members to lead school spirit wear, teacher appreciation, and senior gift initiatives. Interested parents can apply by May 1 through a Google Form. No prior experience is required.
Seniors graduate May 15. All graduating seniors will receive admission tickets at graduation rehearsal; guests must present tickets for entry.
CodeRVA will hold End of the Year Awards Assemblies on May 28 for seniors and May 29 for 9th through 11th graders. The ceremonies will stream live on Zoom and be recorded. The PTSA will provide refreshments for attending students.
High school students can apply for the FBI Richmond Teen Academy, which meets July 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Richmond Field Office. The program offers an overview of federal law enforcement careers, including cybercrime and SWAT operations. Applications for rising 9th through 12th graders were due May 15.
