Emmanuel University Wins Lake Hartwell Slam | Anderson County

Lake Hartwell, a cherished waterway bordering Anderson County, recently hosted the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) Hartwell Slam, bringing competitive fishing to our community. The two-day event showcased both the quality of Lake Hartwell’s fishery and the high level of competition, with multiple 20-pound bags weighed in.

Local support played a significant role in the event’s success. Nine of the top 10 finishing teams, including the tournament champions, received sponsorship from Visit Anderson and Green Pond Landing. This highlights the strength of local partnerships and their impact on competitive fishing.

The Hartwell Slam reinforced Anderson’s reputation as a premier destination for competitive fishing events in the Upstate, showcasing elite angling talent.
