Altamonte Springs Federal Procurement Hub for International Companies
Altamonte Springs launched a Center of Excellence through the Altamonte Global Innovation Lab (AGīL) in partnership with TSG Transportation Advisors to help international companies comply with federal procurement and Buy America requirements.
The center offers compliance advisory, connections to federal and state procurement networks, Small Business Administration guidance, go-to-market strategy, and early visibility into grants and public-private partnerships. TSG Advisors will help companies structure products, partnerships and supply chains to meet domestic content requirements under the Build America, Buy America Act.
"Local government can be a platform for innovation, not just a customer of it," City Manager Frank Martz said. "Companies will gain direct access to regulatory guidance, connectivity and go-to-market support."
AGīL's network spans every Seminole County city, two Orange County cities, Seminole County Public Schools, Seminole State College and Orlando Sanford International Airport. The airport administers one of Florida's Foreign Trade Zones. The National Entrepreneur Center also advises AGīL on small business support.
AGīL and TSG Advisors are jointly developing workforce development programs to build technology pipelines and help local governments adopt emerging technologies.
