Lake Ontario Harbor Dredging Push by Niagara & Orleans

ALBION — Niagara County Legislator Dave Godfrey and Orleans County Legislature Chairman Lynne Johnson met last week with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to advocate for dredging recreational harbors along Lake Ontario.

The officials told the Great Lakes Shallow Harbor Draft Stakeholders meeting that dredged harbors are essential to the economic health of lakeside communities, which depend on boater access to remain competitive.
