Electric & Plumbing Permits The modification of existing, or installation of new plumbing, or electrical work will require a permit. Water Heater replacements also require a permit. Submittal Requirements - Scope of Work - Plans or drawing of proposed work. Depending on the scope of work, signed and sealed plans may be required. - A recorded Notice of Commencement will be required prior to the first inspection for any projects with a job value over $5,000. Inspections Should the scope of work require the power company to (re)energize the meter, a green tag inspection will be required.
