(NYSE: R), a leader in supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions, today announced the expansion of its COOP by Ryder truck sharing platform to Georgia and South Florida. This expansion enables fleet owners in these regions to generate revenue by renting out their underutilized commercial vehicles to other businesses. COOP connects fleet owners with trusted renters, providing a flexible and secure way to optimize their fleet utilization and generate income. For renters, COOP offers access to a wide range of commercial vehicles, from vans and trucks to trailers, providing a cost-effective alternative to traditional rental options. In South Florida, the addressable truck and trailer fleet is approximately 250,000 vehicles with roughly 5,000 businesses operating them. Fleet owners in South Florida may utilize COOP to improve the return on investment (ROI) of their trailers and trucks when they are sitting idle. COOP by Ryder initially launched in Atlanta, Ga. in 2018. In 2024, COOP continues to expand across new regions in the United States.
