View allCity Contractor to Begin Collecting Hurricane Debris Mid-Week
The City of Mary Esther is contracting with DRC Emergency Services to clean up debris from Hurricane Isaias. Crews are expected to begin work mid-week. To help facilitate the cleanup process, we have the following guidelines: Only clean vegetative debris (trees, limbs, etc.) and storm-related wood debris (fences, docks, etc.) will be accepted. Please keep vegetative debris in a separate pile from fences, docks and other construction debris. Pile storm debris at the curb, well away from hydrants, mailboxes and above-ground utility boxes. Pile debris loose; DO NOT put debris in bags. No hazardous waste or non-organic material. There are no scheduled days for hurricane debris pickup. Simply place it at the curb and crews will remove it as they work through their routes. DRC will make several passes through neighborhoods over the next two to three weeks to ensure that all debris is collected. For questions, call City Hall at 850-243-3566.
