Voters in Dallas Independent School District overwhelmingly approved a record-breaking $6.2 billion bond package Saturday, nearly doubling the district's previous 2020 effort and setting a new benchmark for school construction and modernization across Texas. The four-proposition measure will fund 26 new replacement schools, eliminate 700 portable classrooms, and upgrade technology and safety systems districtwide, with minimal impact on homeowners' property taxes.
