Look for your Voter’s Pamphlet for the November General Election • Pierce County, WA Local Voter's Pamphlets for the November 3, 2026, General Election were sent today. Pamphlets should arrive by October 10. If yours does not, contact us at (253) 798-8683. The pamphlet can also be accessed: Online in the "Current Election" section At public library branches across the Pierce County, Tacoma and Puyallup library systems The 40-page pamphlet provides candidate statements, drop box locations and other election resources. A separate State Voters’ Pamphlet was mailed to households earlier this month. This election marks a chance to influence things that impact daily life in Pierce County. Voters will decide on local races for positions such as Auditor, Prosecuting Attorney, and County Council Districts 1, 5, and 7, as well as multiple judicial seats across the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Pierce County District Court, and Tacoma Municipal Court. Voters also get to weigh in on a wide range of federal, state, and local offices, including U.S. Representatives and State Senators and Representatives In addition to candidate races, the ballot includes numerous local measures—city and town levies, school district funding proposals, fire protection and emergency medical services levies, and transit related tax measures. Voters will also decide on three statewide initiatives, several Pierce County charter amendments, and a City of Tacoma initiative. "The Voters Pamphlet is a great resource for voters. You get to hear from candidates in their own words. You can also read statements for and against ballot measures," said Linda Kent, Pierce County Chief Deputy Auditor. Vote Early and Use a Drop Box Voters can expect ballots between October 13 – 17. You can vote as soon as you get your ballot. We recommend voting early and using an official drop box to return your ballot. Drop box locations may be found here. Council Meetings
Meetings of the Council (Taken from the Pierce County Code) The County Council shall conduct regularly scheduled meetings at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday of every week in the County Council Chambers at 1501 Market Street, Tacoma, WA 98402, unless otherwise ordered by the Council. In addition to, or in place of, the above regularly scheduled meetings, the Council shall conduct at least one evening meeting per year in each Council District, with the specific time, place, and date to be set by adoption of a Resolution by the Council and announced in compliance with normal meeting notice procedures. If a meeting of the Council lacks a quorum, the Chair may adjourn or continue that meeting to a date certain. The Council shall conduct its business according to Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, except when said Rules conflict with law or Council Resolutions or Ordinances, then the law, Resolutions, or Ordinances shall prevail. If for any reason a meeting of the Council is canceled, all Agenda items shall be continued to the next regular meeting of the Council.
